Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled No. 5 by John Walker for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,633.16). This price was achieved in the auction First Open at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Walker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Oceania III in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 9,987.50 (€ 11,487.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled No. 5 von John Walker für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.633,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Walker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Oceania III im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.987,50 (€ 11.487,81).
