Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Conservatory I by John Walker. It changed hands for a price of GBP 756.00 (€ 833.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Oceania III in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 9,987.50 (€ 11,487.81).
