Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by John Walker for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,410.48). This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Walker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Oceania III in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 9,987.50 (€ 11,487.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Walker für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.410,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Walker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Oceania III im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.987,50 (€ 11.487,81).
