Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kew Grey, 'Alba' No.1 by John Walker was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,557.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Walker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oceania III, which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 9,987.50 (€ 11,487.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kew Grey, 'Alba' No.1 von John Walker kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.557,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Walker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Oceania III beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 9.987,50 (€ 11.487,81) versteigert wurde.
