Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Upward Turn (Study) by John Newman for USD 480.00 (€ 398.08). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Newman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolled Belle in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97).
