Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Five Prints: Medio Romano Giallo by John Newman for USD 956.25 (€ 897.55). This price was achieved in the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Newman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tolled Belle in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Five Prints: Medio Romano Giallo von John Newman für USD 956,25 (€ 897,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Newman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tolled Belle im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.958,97).
