Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Newman could be acquired at Bonhams in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Five Prints: Grande Romano Blu changed hands for USD 765.00 (€ 718.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Newman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tolled Belle in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Newman konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Five Prints: Grande Romano Blu für USD 765,00 (€ 718,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Newman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tolled Belle im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.958,97).
