Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work #21 by John McLaughlin was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,080.32), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John McLaughlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work V-1957 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 516,500.00 (€ 437,230.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit #21 von John McLaughlin wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.080,32) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John McLaughlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit V-1957 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 516.500,00 (€ 437.230,17).
