This work without title by John McLaughlin was sold in the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,701.09), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John McLaughlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work V-1957 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 516,500.00 (€ 437,230.17).
