Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,421.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by John Houston have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2000 the work Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds) was auctioned for GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,640.37).
