In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Indian summer, Lake Owen, Wisconsin by John Houston. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,675.62), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Houston have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,640.37) in October 2000 for the work Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian summer, Lake Owen, Wisconsin von John Houston zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.675,62) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von John Houston haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.640,00 (€ 9.640,37) im Oktober 2000 für die Arbeit Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds) beobachtet.
