In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Indian summer, Lake Owen, Wisconsin by John Houston. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,675.62), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Houston have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,640.37) in October 2000 for the work Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.675,62) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von John Houston haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.640,00 (€ 9.640,37) im Oktober 2000 für die Arbeit Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds) beobachtet.
