The work Begegnung auf dem Waldweg by John Callow was sold in the Alte Kunst auction at VAN HAM in May 2016. Here, the estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,193.00. Admittedly, works by John Callow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Begegnung auf dem Waldweg von John Callow wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Alte Kunst bei VAN HAM versteigert. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.193,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Callow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.590,45).
