Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dover Castle From The West by John Callow was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 562.50 (€ 764.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Callow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).

Die Arbeit Dover Castle From The West von John Callow kam im Dezember 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 562,50 (€ 764,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Callow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.590,45).
