Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,151.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Callow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).
