Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Kingswear Looking Towards Dartmouth; Together With Rowing Out To A Ship At Anchor by John Callow for GBP 188.00 (€ 214.65). This price was achieved in the auction Of Royal and Noble Descent at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Callow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Kingswear Looking Towards Dartmouth; Together With Rowing Out To A Ship At Anchor von John Callow für GBP 188,00 (€ 214,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Of Royal and Noble Descent bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Callow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.590,45).
