Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shipping at the mouth of the River Medway by John Callow was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,686.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Callow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.686,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
