Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Empire Diner, 1971 by John Baeder was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,801.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Baeder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diner, Binghampton, N.Y., which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 54,000.00 (€ 45,801.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Empire Diner, 1971 von John Baeder kam im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.801,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Baeder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 54.000,00 (€ 45.801,53) versteigert wurde.
