Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art | New York, which included the work Tacos by John Baeder. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,493.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Baeder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 45,801.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tacos von John Baeder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.493,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Baeder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 45.801,53).
