Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Pappy's Place, Nashville, TN by John Baeder. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,674.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Baeder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diner, Binghampton, N.Y., which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 54,000.00 (€ 45,801.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pappy's Place, Nashville, TN von John Baeder zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.674,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von John Baeder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 54.000,00 (€ 45.801,53) versteigert wurde.
