Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jim Thorell for SEK 35,000.00 (€ 3,202.64). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art & Design at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jim Thorell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Burnt matches in the sand", which sold at auction in April this year for SEK 75,000.00 (€ 6,630.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jim Thorell für SEK 35.000,00 (€ 3.202,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jim Thorell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Burnt matches in the sand" beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für SEK 75.000,00 (€ 6.630,43) versteigert wurde.
