Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary Art & Design, which included the work "Marsian Trap" by Jim Thorell. The price achieved of SEK 33,000.00 (€ 3,099.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jim Thorell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Burnt matches in the sand", which sold at auction in April this year for SEK 75,000.00 (€ 6,630.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary Art & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Marsian Trap" von Jim Thorell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SEK 33.000,00 (€ 3.099,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jim Thorell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Burnt matches in the sand" beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für SEK 75.000,00 (€ 6.630,43) versteigert wurde.
