Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jim Thorell could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "The Horrible Insight" changed hands for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,556.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jim Thorell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Burnt matches in the sand", which sold at auction in April this year for SEK 75,000.00 (€ 6,630.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jim Thorell konnte im April 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "The Horrible Insight" für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.556,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jim Thorell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Burnt matches in the sand" beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für SEK 75.000,00 (€ 6.630,43) versteigert wurde.
