Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jim Thorell could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, this work without title changed hands for SEK 15,000.00 (€ 1,372.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jim Thorell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Burnt matches in the sand" in April this year with an auction result of SEK 75,000.00 (€ 6,630.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jim Thorell konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 15.000,00 (€ 1.372,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jim Thorell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Burnt matches in the sand" im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 75.000,00 (€ 6.630,43).
