Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mike Kelley 10 by Jennifer Steinkamp was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 38,555.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jennifer Steinkamp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Judy Crook, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mike Kelley 10 von Jennifer Steinkamp wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 38.555,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Judy Crook beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12) versteigert wurde.
