Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Dervish 15 by Jennifer Steinkamp. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,001.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jennifer Steinkamp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Judy Crook, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dervish 15 von Jennifer Steinkamp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.001,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Judy Crook beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12) versteigert wurde.
