Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Dance Hall Girl #3 (daisies) by Jennifer Steinkamp. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,104.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jennifer Steinkamp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Judy Crook in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dance Hall Girl #3 (daisies) von Jennifer Steinkamp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.104,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Judy Crook im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12).
