Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Henderson, Nevada), 1977 by Jan Groover for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.44). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Groover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life Studies, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Henderson, Nevada), 1977 von Jan Groover für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Groover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life Studies beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04) versteigert wurde.
