Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Groover could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Aperture auction, the work Untitled, 1989 changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Groover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life Studies, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Groover konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Aperture wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, 1989 für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Groover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life Studies beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04) versteigert wurde.
