Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Photographs, which included the work Untitled (104.2) by Jan Groover. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 1,963.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Groover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Studies in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (104.2) von Jan Groover zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.268,00 (€ 1.963,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Groover auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Studies im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04).
