The work Untitled and Untitled by Jan Groover was worth USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,477.36) to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Groover; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life Studies sold at auction in June 2010 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
