This artwork by Jack Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Dialogue 2 sold for USD 24,000.00 (€ 18,140.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior With Figures, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).
