Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Talking Head by Jack Smith was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,684.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior With Figures in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).

Die Arbeit Talking Head von Jack Smith kam im März 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.684,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior With Figures im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 65.621,91).
