Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Shirt Box by Iran do Espírito Santo was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November 2010. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,588.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Iran do Espírito Santo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,516.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black Shirt Box von Iran do Espírito Santo wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.588,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Iran do Espírito Santo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.516,39).
