Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Buraco de Fechadura (Key Hole) by Iran do Espírito Santo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 25,200.00 (€ 22,717.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iran do Espírito Santo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole), which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,516.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Buraco de Fechadura (Key Hole) von Iran do Espírito Santo kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 25.200,00 (€ 22.717,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Iran do Espírito Santo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.516,39) versteigert wurde.
