In July 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Relevo I by Iran do Espírito Santo. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,271.31) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Iran do Espírito Santo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,516.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Relevo I von Iran do Espírito Santo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.271,31) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Iran do Espírito Santo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.516,39).
