Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Restless 01 by Iran do Espírito Santo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,459.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iran do Espírito Santo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole), which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,516.39).

Die Arbeit Black Restless 01 von Iran do Espírito Santo kam im März 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.459,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Iran do Espírito Santo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.516,39) versteigert wurde.
