Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nine Arches Portfolio by Ian Davenport was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 3,048.00 (€ 2,884.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ian Davenport achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 95,447.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nine Arches Portfolio von Ian Davenport kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.048,00 (€ 2.884,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ian Davenport erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 95.447,82).
