Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mirrored Decal by Ian Davenport was auctioned at Christies in Brussels in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 34,723.92). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Davenport - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 95,447.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mirrored Decal von Ian Davenport kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Brüssel zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 30.240,00 (€ 34.723,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Davenport mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 95.447,82) versteigert wurde.
