Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Ballet Landscape by Huang Yan for USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,880.93). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ballet Landscape von Huang Yan für USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.880,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
