Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Chinese Tattoo Landscape No. 4 by Huang Yan was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,689.38), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chinese Tattoo Landscape No. 4 von Huang Yan wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.689,38) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
