Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Tattoo Landscape No. 9 by Huang Yan. The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,223.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tattoo Landscape No. 9 von Huang Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.223,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
