Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Huang Yan could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work One Line Shan-Shui (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,556.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
