A top price for Huang Yan - as previously expected
The work Tattoo Series, Plants by Huang Yan was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale (Morning and Afternoon) auction at Sothebys in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tattoo Series, Plants is the most expensive artwork by Huang Yan that we have observed at auctions so far.
