Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Chinese Landscape: Tattoo No. 6 And 13 (Two Works) by Huang Yan. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,381.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
