Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greetings from the House of Weyhe by Howard Cook was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,875.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Cook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fog Patterns #2 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greetings from the House of Weyhe von Howard Cook kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.875,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Cook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fog Patterns #2 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95).
