Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Country Store; Hill Town; Merry-Go-Round 3 by Howard Cook was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,523.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Cook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fog Patterns #2 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Country Store; Hill Town; Merry-Go-Round 3 von Howard Cook wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.523,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Cook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fog Patterns #2 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95).
