Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Taos Plaza; Merry Go Round 2 by Howard Cook. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,566.16), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Cook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fog Patterns #2 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Taos Plaza; Merry Go Round 2 von Howard Cook zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.566,16) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Cook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fog Patterns #2 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95).
