Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Torrents by Hilary Harkness was sold in the Contemporary Art Day auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 34,375.00 (€ 23,911.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hilary Harkness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deep Roll Dive in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 157,500.00 (€ 139,541.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Torrents von Hilary Harkness wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 23.911,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hilary Harkness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deep Roll Dive im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.500,00 (€ 139.541,06).
