Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unconditional Surrender by Hilary Harkness was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hilary Harkness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deep Roll Dive in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 157,500.00 (€ 139,541.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unconditional Surrender von Hilary Harkness kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hilary Harkness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deep Roll Dive im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.500,00 (€ 139.541,06).
