This work without title by Gordon Matta-Clark was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2011. It achieved a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,129.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Gordon Matta-Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pier 52 ( # 4) in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 145,937.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gordon Matta-Clark kam im Mai 2011 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.129,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Matta-Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pier 52 ( # 4) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 145.937,97).
